I have installed mod_gzip2 and added the necessary info to apache's httpd.conf and yet
http://www.gidnetwork.com/tools/gzip-test.php reports that my pages are not compressed. Here's my config:
Code:
AddEncoding x-compress .Z
AddEncoding x-gzip .gz .tgz
LoadModule gzip_module libexec/apache22/mod_gzip2.so
LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b mod_gzip: %{mod_gzip_compression_ratio}npct." common_with_mod_gzip_info1
LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b mod_gzip: %{mod_gzip_result}n In:%{mod_gzip_input_size}n Out:%{mod_gzip_output_size}
LogFormat "%{mod_gzip_compression_ratio}npct." mod_gzip_info1
LogFormat "%{mod_gzip_result}n In:%{mod_gzip_input_size}n Out:%{mod_gzip_output_size}n:%{mod_gzip_compression_ratio}npct.

I have tried it with and without the AddEncoding lines, I'm not sure about them.
Can anyone say what I'm doing wrong?
