Mirrored file servers
Hello,
I am studying the possibility of building two file sharing servers with their own stripe set or ZFS zpool mirrored over the network to an identical machine. For performance issues, should I go with ZFS and geom gate or geom stripe over geom gate? Thanks,

In theory, you should be able to use either.
 In practise, gmirror overtop of ggate seems to be the more stable of the two.

Thanks for the tip phoenix. I'll try gmirror and ggate with FreeBSD 7.2 and post the how-to in the forums.
