OpenBSD with proper encoding
Hi,
I did some reading but I couldn't find the exact answer. General question: How do you locale an OpenBSD 6.1? Detailed question: I changed my local LC_CTYPE to pl_PL.UTF-8, but still don't see polish characters in the console nor in vi. Although vi encodes them properly, so I can see them ok elsewhere. Settings in X+fluxbox work fine. |

I believe UTF‐8 works in the console, but there are no Unicode characters in the console font.
/usr/bin/vi does not support UTF‐8. (“pkg_add nvi--iconv” will give you a fork that does, although I caution that it has had some serious bugs in the past, since fixed.)
