Default I miss Will Backman

Been going back to the old bsdtalks on archive.org. I really like bsdnow and listen to it every week these days, but there was something about bsdtalk. Maybe it was that he was from Maine and I grew up in the Canadian Maritimes. (Maine was kind of like our American cousin, more similar and relatable than the rest of New England and way more so than the rest of the U.S.) Or maybe it was his very pleasant, humble personality.

It's funny to listen to the early episodes -- just him telling us about BSD -- remembering that when I picked up the show much later he was interviewing core developers and at some point even Eric Raymond and Richard Stallman IIRC. I wonder what he's up to these days.

Esports is growing in Maine. I decided to put together a little website to track what is happening. http://www.esportsmaine.org
Busy with various projects, friends and family, making a living (work) ? Maybe,...ohh, "Future events:

OpenBSD Events and Papers

OpenBSD developers, users and sponsors attend trade shows and conferences, give papers, and organize "Birds Of a Feather" (BOF) sessions. This is an opportunity to find out more about OpenBSD or just meet like-minded people.

Hah, I did an interview 12 years ago; I fear it may still be online 😅 I remember I was so nervous, and turns out that *speaking* English is quite a different skill from *writing* English.

Also turns out that using emojis here will bork your posts (I can't even edit it now!)
