Configuration problems on NetBSD infrastructure
I use NetBSD 7.0.1 as a guest within Virtualbox. When i call pkg_add or pkgin i get no connection to the server(ftp.netbsd.org) but there is a connection. Nih works fine so it looks for me like a configuration problem.

A lot more details are needed to debug this.
What is the *exact* error you receive? Can you ping and traceroute to ftp.netbsd.org? Are you trying to use IPv4 or IPv6 transports? (for IPv6 connectivity, try ping6 & traceroute6.)

I can ping and traceroute ftp.netbsd.org and see ipv4 addresses. ipv6-test.com say the default is ipv6 and DNS6 + IP4 is unreachable.

Does happen to me too from time to time, no matter which NetBSD version it is. Looks like 7.* has been working fine so far though.
