Default [Help needed] Atheros on Dragonflybsd

Hello everyone,

I've just migrate from linux to bsd and I have some problem while installing dragonflybsd 2.6.2.
I have an eeepc 1201ha and my wireless card ( Atheros AR9285 ) do not work.
I don't have any ath0 interface in ifconfig.

pciconf -lbvc print this :
none2@pci0:1:0:0 class=0x028000 card=0x10891a3b chip=0x002b168c rev=0x01 hdr=0x00
vendor = 'Atheros communications inc.'
device = 'AR928x Atheros AR9285 Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n Controller'
...

I already add 'if_ath_load="YES"' ine loader.conf.

Does anyone already solve this problem ?

Thanks a lot.

OpenBSD 4.7/-CURRENT has a new driver for Atheros 9k devices called athn(4), unfortunately I do not believe it has been ported to DragonflyBSD, which only has support for some members of the Atheros 5k family (..like the other *BSD's).

Yes, the athn(4) driver works fine on OpenBSD. Not available with 4.6. Availalble with -current or 4.7-release; the release is expected on or before 19 May.

I am using it with -current and an AR9285 to type this.

Default Thanks

Thanks a lot for your fast reply.
I'm going to install openbsd because it seems more adapted for my laptop and because there is more support for this distribution.

I would wait a few days on OpenBSD current until you see newer xorg package set than April 28. I tried current yesterday and some of the xfce 4 packages did not install seconday to a different xorg lib.
