What is good support to the file system ext3?

What is good support to the file system ext3?
I think that zfs is a very good file system but
I would like use an ext3 partion for share some data with linux.

Initially the support is only on read, now it's appear possible also on write.

I think a project in its early stages and even complete, I would understand if it is stable enough to be able to be used in peace.

Otherwise I fear that the only alternative would be to use the file system fat.

the ntfs r/o support has worked well for me. for sharing r/w i use fat32 which works on any OS.

In *any* case you should keep write permissions under the OS which actually handles the file system.
I've always had permission/"clean flag" problems if not. Hemce, I always mount -ro on non-native OSes.
FAT remains for every OS, alternatively, you can print the file and scan it back again.

I hope that in the next release (or as soon as possible) to have a good support for file system ext3, i would like avoid to use Fat.

Also between a closed system (ntfs) and an open (ext3) i prefer the second.
