Cannot Enter BIOS

Hi,

After installing OpenBSD (any 5.5/6/7) I can no longer enter my laptop bios

Lenovo G710

if i restore a linux image back to the disk bios is accessible again
Someone familiar with this issue?

F10 to select boot is working

only F2 and fun F2 is not working
tried maybe to enable the function key because i thought it something with the F2 key and the boot but no success
looks like a boot loader timing with bios

Would disconnecting the drive be a quicker/easier circumvention for this vendor bug ... er ... feature ??

Sorry but didn't understand.(new user)

my lenovo laptop is running only openbsd 5.5 now and I'm unable to enter the bios no more
I have internal SSD drive so i didn't understand which drive to disconnect

Did you mean to remove the drive just to enter the bios ? :-)
that probably will work, at the moment the bios is setting correctly as i needed to run any os i want
except windows 9000 so i don't really care at the moment but just in case

sounds very similar to my issue although EFI is always disabled in my settings, i am using legacy for the next few years

Yes, that was my thinking. It might work ... then again, it might not.

This is a funny one.. or not.. :/
Never heard this before and never experienced this.

But a fast thought.. you can access boot page.. what if you put in a USB stick with some OS on it, Windows or something else than *BSD. Maybe.. maybe... the computer will be confused and let you in? I don’t know.. but it’s worth a try.

I tried that with the usb stick. it lets you press F12 to select boot device
but when i press F2 its stuck and ended with me powering off the laptop
i think its related the bootloader and the timing with the bios
Any way im very happy with the OpenBSD so i dont care
