Default newsboat replacement? it is very slow.

what do you guys use for rss?
newsboat is useful, but obviously horribly written program. it is very slow when the feeds grow large.

any recommendation for a faster program?

Personally I've never stopped using good old snownews, which in my opinion represents an acceptable compromise between comfort/usability and lightweight, whereas for a very barebone and minimalist approach you may want to check out rsstail which I don't mind either.

sfeed is a commendable RSS/Atom parser, easy to couple with a pager or dmenu/rofi.

You can also get a customized RSS/Atom feed digest by mail by using rss2email
