what do you guys use for rss?
newsboat is useful, but obviously horribly written program. it is very slow when the feeds grow large. any recommendation for a faster program? |

Personally I've never stopped using good old snownews, which in my opinion represents an acceptable compromise between comfort/usability and lightweight, whereas for a very barebone and minimalist approach you may want to check out rsstail which I don't mind either.
sfeed is a commendable RSS/Atom parser, easy to couple with a pager or dmenu/rofi. You can also get a customized RSS/Atom feed digest by mail by using rss2email
