Default fbsd 7.2 and php5

I'm trying to install php5 by installing php5-extensions first but I'm getting an error about not finding gettext (which is installed):

This is a fresh install i'm gonna test some things on and my freebsd is a little rusty.

Installing libintl hasnt seemed to fix the problem and I'm not sure what I should try next.

Thanks in advance for any tips,

You might try doing a portupgrade. That way you clear any possible dependency inconsistencies that could exist in the ports tree at the time of your last ports tree update.

Try reinstalling devel/gettext. The configure is failing because either /usr/local/include/libintl.h does not exist or /usr/local/lib/libintl.so does not exist or is not functioning properly.
