I've used Thunderbird for several years to manage multiple IMAP accounts, as well as older locally stored mail from accounts which no longer exist. Thunderbird development was always directionless and always seemed to be in the shadow of Firefox. At least I won't have to deal with whimsical new changes any more (although I would rather revert to the 2.x pre-tabbed interface). So long as the product continues to receive security updates, I'm fine.
