The truth about Ukraine’s far-right militias

During one recent news bulletin on BBC Radio 4, the correspondent referred to “Putin’s baseless claim that the Ukrainian state supports Nazis”. This is, itself, disinformation: it is an observable fact, which the BBC itself has previously reported on accurately and well, that the Ukrainian state has, since 2014, provided funding, weapons and other forms of support to extreme Right-wing militias, including neo-Nazi ones.

I'm getting sick of the propaganda being pushed by the BBC using my money. Perhaps others are too. More neutral viewpoints are available.

I'm in frequent contact with iLUXA, who I met years ago at another forum and lives in Kiev, Ukraine. From the photos of himself he sends you would never know a war was going on there.

One recent shot was of himself standing in a field of flowers and looks like something out of the Wizard of Oz. Another was him exploring an ancient fortress type thingy in Kiev that you wouldn't think be left standing in a war zone.

But I cut the cord and haven't had cable in months, so the war may be over for all I know.
Oh, what a relief it is...

No such luck. World War III began with Russia's invasion of Crimea in 2014 and it looks like a real slow burner. Be a while yet, methinks.

The irony is delicious: the news media in my country decry the fact that Putin refuses to call his military operation an "invasion" whilst refusing to acknowledge that we are now at (proxy) war with Russia.
