CPU: Intel Atom N435
Flashed a pendrive with i386.img - is this the right installation media? I'm aware of iwn0 firmware not found, though I do not need it, I use Ethernet only. Code:
ftp: Reading from file: Input/output error gzip: stdin: Input/output error tar: End of archive volume 1 reached Installation of base71.tgz failed. Code:
ahci0: read NCQ error, page, but not an NCQ error? ahci0: couldn't recover NCQ error, failing all outstanding commands. Last edited by nihil; 27th September 2022 at 08:41 AM. |

Was it a good download(?); check it's md5/sha code.
(My 7.1 installs have been OK.)

bsd-keith,
how may I do so? I compared SHA256 and SHA256.sig in tmp/, they look identical. Sorry for being a noob, I look forward to learn more! Last edited by nihil; 27th September 2022 at 08:54 AM. |

Jiggimi,
I'm getting stalled on the Get/Verify base71.tgz I tried different mirrors, yet it's still occurs. Also it outputs: re0 watchdog timeout |

You're having some sort of network hardware issue: a watchdog timeout for the re(4) network interface means that the network interface connector has not responded to an I/O command from the driver.
I'll repeat my recommendation: use the amd64 install71.img to have all kernels and filesets available on the installation disk. No network connection will be required. |

Nevermind me getting stalled, I just had to wait a little longer.
I still get: "Installation of bsd.rd failed." Errors Last edited by nihil; 28th September 2022 at 12:06 PM. |

Jiggimi,
I do use install71, I guess I hadn't chose the option to install them from disk. |

Even with filesets on the disk I still have a problem. It's simply won't comply to install the filesets, taking quite a long time, resulting in an error of it not being installed. Here's the image.
