Hey daemonforums, I did a cursory search and ran across ibara's post regarding maintaining an emacs clone for RetroBSD, but other than that it doesn't appear to have been mentioned here. I was curious, is anyone using RetroBSD?
It seems like an incredibly cool project, and it goes well with my interest in microcontroller/AVRs as of late.

Yup. I have RetroBSD running on a PIC32 board I have here.
I also donated the emg editor (a MicroEMACS designed exclusively for RetroBSD) to RetroBSD and it is now in the tree. So emg is now part of RetroBSD base. It's extremely handy for people who know emacs, since there was no emacs-like editor available previously, and their vi clone is GPL-licensed. emg is public domain. That's how I got it, and that's the respectable thing to do. |
