Default sshd not starting fresh install

I couldn't ssh into a new server I'm setting up. Here is the output when I try and start sshd
Code:
# /etc/rc.d/sshd -d start
doing _rc_parse_conf
doing _rc_quirks
sshd_flags empty, using default ><
doing _rc_read_runfile
doing rc_check
sshd
doing rc_start
Illegal instruction (core dumped)
doing _rc_rm_runfile
(failed)
#
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
