Hello
I'm trying to get my sound output working in FreeBSD 7.0 using the coaxial connector on my motherboard. dmesg gives me the following output about the soundcard: pcm0: <Intel 82801H High Definition Audio Controller> mem 0xf8100000-0xf8103fff irq 22 at device 27.0 on pci0 pcm0: [ITHREAD] pcm0: <HDA Codec: Realtek ALC888> pcm0: <HDA Driver Revision: 20071129_0050 I have loaded the snd_hda module. /dev/sndstat: FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm: 32bit 2007061600/i386) Installed devices: pcm0: <Intel 82801H High Definition Audio Controller> at memory 0xf8100000 irq 22 kld snd_hda [20071129_0050] [MPSAFE] (1p:2v/1r:1v channels duplex default) The problem is that I don't really know how to access the digital sound output on the soundcard. |
