Default Problem with Postfix and Sasl auth

Hi, I've installed the package postfix-2.6.20080726-sasl2 for setup a secure smtp server. This is my main.cf sasl section

smtpd_sasl_auth_enable = yes
smtpd_sasl_security_options = noanonymous
smtpd_sasl_type = cyrus
smtpd_sasl_authenticated_header = yes
broken_sasl_auth_clients = yes
smtpd_sasl_path = smtpd

saslauthd daemon is started with getpwent auth method.
The problem is that when I try to login with auth plain, I have this

535 5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: generic failure

where is my error?Thans in advance.

I'm afraid I haven't tried that configuration. For what it's worth I have gotten secure Postfix SMTP to work with the dovecot installed from packages.
