uncovering network info?
I am running Windows XP and I am unsure where to find my proxy settings so I can transfer this info to my Linux distro so I can access the internet. It's like finding a needle in a haystack.

If you do not know where such configuration settings reside.. how do you know that you need them?
Typically one configures a proxy server per each application that will be using it, but I do recall hearing that in Windows.. other applications can gleam proxy settings from "Internet Explorer". So again, what lead you to believe you're even using a proxy server? |
