Default emacs-29.3-gtk3 issue + workaround

I have been trying to trace an issue with emacs-29.3-gtk3 on OpenBSD 7.5 amd64 when using "GUI-Mode".

Curious if anyone else noticed this.

The issue is when you select a menu drop down on the top menu bar, X would freeze for a minute then nothing would happen.

I played with ~/.emacs and ~/.emacs.d contents for a while to no avail. I even removed ~/.emacs and ~/.emacs.d but the issue remained

Workaround -- I decided to remove emacs-29.3-gtk3 and install emacs-29.3-gtk2, the issue is gone.

So I suspect the issue is with gtk3.

For the curious, this the corresponding dmesg:

FWIW, the same issue happens on NetBSD, downgrading to emacs28 was the only option there.
