Howto's in a post is one way to convey information, but they are static. As BSD evloves so does the need for the info. It would be nice to have a one-stop-shop for the newbies.
Thanks for the new home guys! Coup d’état's are tough but I think that admin was given enough time personally, and bsdnexus just isn't cool enough. ![]() |

i think itd be a good idea. theres lots of info on this board and your guys' old board. move all that stuff onto a wiki. that'd be pretty cool. when it comes to linux OS, to be honest i really hate using google. i would like a definite promising resource. ex. this site
so a wiki would give me a place to check before i ask |

Yes, a definitive wiki would indeed be wondrous.

Monitoring & moderating a wiki could be very time consuming.

Spam won't be a problem, users need to register through the vB interface, and post using the DokuWiki interface, I doubt there are spambots that can handle that
![]() And I also don't think we will have to deal with wikipedia-like situations such as editwars, vandalism, etc.

Yes, I was missing wiki too. Gentoo for example has a great wiki (http://gentoo-wiki.com).
