6.8 error "entry point at 0x1001000"
boot failed with error "entry point at 0x1001000"
bsd.rd works fine. 6.7 worked fine. N3450 CPU notebook. |

I tried replacing the boot-loader but that didn't work (most likely I made some mistake), so I installed in legacy mode. If you haven't upgraded on target machine yet then you can manually upgrade it: https://www.openbsd.org/faq/upgrade68.html - just skip the boot-loader part. So will fix be backported to 6.8 release? or wait for snapshoots/6.9 release?
Thank you andinus, Thank you jiggimi, good to see you alive and well. I have been away from OpenBSD, but atleast i keep coming back. Will relearn PF before i might eventuly try to understand this manual patching. |
