Default [netbook Samsung n102] Cannot install base system

CPU: Intel Atom N435
Flashed a pendrive with i386.img - is this the right installation media?
I'm aware of iwn0 firmware not found, though I do not need it, I use Ethernet only.

Code:
ftp: Reading from file: Input/output error
gzip: stdin: Input/output error
tar: End of archive volume 1 reached
Installation of base71.tgz failed.
Errors from dmesg:
Code:
ahci0: read NCQ error, page, but not an NCQ error?
ahci0: couldn't recover NCQ error, failing all outstanding commands.
You can view the full boot process here.
