Default proper way making bash default

I tried to make bash the default shell
i did whereis bash
and chsh -s /usr/pkg/bash user
its not working that user cant login.
Could someone tell me what is
the proper way making bash default
on Netbsd?

You want:

chsh -s /usr/pkg/bin/bash

Plus you should add "/usr/pkg/bin/bash" to "/etc/shells" if not already there

Yes thank you i made the mistake missed out part of the the path
got confused when i realized Netbsd apps are not in /usr/local/bin/
