gkrellm launches slowly

Hi people,
I've been experiencing this for a month now or so. The machine starts, I log in, hop into Fluxbox with startx and start a few apps with .fluxbox/startup:

numlockx &
gkrellm &
xmms -fp &
xxkb &

Ok the problem is, that gkrellm starts with about 45 seconds delay. This started when I upgraded Xorg a time ago. It worked ok before that. Anybody experiencing the same thing or is just something broken here ?

I'm using:
FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE
gkrellm-2.3.1_4
xorg-7.3_1
xorg-apps-7.3
xorg-drivers-7.3_1
xorg-libraries-7.3_2
xorg-protos-7.3_2
xorg-server-1.4_8,1

I've removed ~/.gkrellm2 and it starts ok now. Strange one
