Being based on today's release of FreeBSD 9.0, the announcement of the publication of PC-BSD version 9.0 will not be a surprise to observers of BSD Unix releases. PcBSD was the first *BSD Variant I tried as liveOS .. then I installed it and played with the PBIs and discovered the magic of ports ..
afterwards I happen to know OpenBSD , and that has been a revelation , so to speak ..
I hope the BSD variants continue to stick to the KISS principle and adhere to the unix philosophy even when dealing with us beginners .. no bloating ..
