Default No chrome extensions for iridium (7.5)

Hm, I'm a little bit confused and don't know how to examine this behaviour:

OpenBSD 7.5 with cwm as window manager.
Chrome (chromium) from packages runs fine and I'm able to add extensions from the chrome store.
Iridum from packages runs also fine but I'm not able to add the same extensions as I used in chrome (or just themes).
With iridium I just get an immediate "Download failed" error if I try to add a extension.

Both chrome and iridium have pledge and unveil configuration files in /etc/chromium ( /etc/iridium ) and they look similar.

Any hint to look further?

Best regards
Andre

See the section about Extensions at https://iridiumbrowser.de/faq.html

Thanks and sorry for the late reaction.

I've already read it but that doesn't hit the point ( as I think so).

A workaround for me was:
- load the helper extension "get CRX" in chrome
- download the crx-packed extensions to the ~/Download - Folder
- switch to iridium --> manage extensions --> activate developer mode
- drag 'n drop the *.crx-extensions to the iridium "manage extensions" tab.
- add the extension to iridium.
--> works

...or you add the crx download extensions this way first and then use iridium for all further extensions.

It doesn't depend oh the extension itself.

Hm....
