FreeBSD + Canon ImageRunner problem
By far my least favorite topic on the world of *nix systems -- printing.
I am having issues printing from my FBSD 6.3 workstation to a Canon ImageRunner 3570. I downloaded the correct PPD file directly from Canon, and configured cups to print to it via IPP. When I try to print a test page, it hangs indefinitely at "Waiting for job to finish...". (Other folks in the office are able to print fine.)
I may be mistaken, but I am beginning to question whether I should be trying to use Canon's official (read: Windows) PPD on a FBSD box. I noticed the printer supports PCL5e, so I would like to try that out next.
Could someone point me to a port, documentation, or other clue on how to install a generic PCL5e driver so that cups can utilize it?
